Nozomu KATO solo exhibition "Flowers and Sunflowers"

"Autumn has arrived when the scent of osmanthus blooms. Winter has arrived and the sasanqua petals are dancing. I love the moment when I can feel the changing seasons through the flowers blooming on the road and the scents carried by the wind. By drawing flowers together with small creatures such as owls and reptiles, which are my main motifs, I feel that I can express nature and living things as being more familiar to me. This time, in addition to copperplate mezzotint works, we will also be exhibiting drypoint works that we have been working on since this year. Due to these two techniques, I have recently become interested in the expression of surfaces and lines. It's going to be a cold season, but I hope it will be a space where you can take a breather, like a warm sunny spot. I would appreciate it if you could take a look at it as much as you can."
